Joe Besser was a comedian and actor who was best known for his role as one of the Stooges in The Three Stooges comedy team. He joined the group in 1955, replacing Shemp Howard, and remained with them until 1958 when he left to pursue other opportunities. Besser was known for his catchphrase "I'm a victim of circumstance," which he often used in his comedic routines. He also appeared in several television shows and films throughout his career, including The Joey Bishop Show and The Abbot and Costello Show. Besser passed away in 1988 at the age of 80.
